I thought today’s topic of learning techniques and ideas of cognitive load, redundancy and dual coding interesting. The ideas of dual coding and cognitive load are definitely areas that I’m going to continue to look into. I definitely agree that having multiple modes of which data is being presented really enhances ones ability to absorb and retain it. I thought that the video we watched showed a great example on what not to do. The entire video I thought was contradictory and redundant. I thought it proved it’s point by doing the opposite. I’m unsure whether this was intentional, regardless, the message was clear.

The group activity will be interesting as I believe we will be doing a topic that I am unfamiliar with. I believe we will be doing a theme on music. I enjoy listening to it. Although using music as a tool will be foreign to me. I look forward to learning and expanding on this subject unknown to me.
