So last Tuesday we spoke about gamified learning I believe that gamified learning has its place within the classroom. I think that it is a good idea to make games or have game like elements into teaching and lessen plans in just various activities. I think it takes away maybe the more less interesting aspects of teaching or learning and ultimately just makes it more fun. I think one of the best ways in places that we do learn is when we are at play. I don’t think that having video games is the best way to go about education. I think like myself and a lot of other students we spend quite a bit of time already at home in front of the screen or playing games for whatever reason maybe and I think that introducing it within a classroom setting is just perpetrating a lifestyle or a way of doing that is just in front of a screen and that’s not even talking about the literacy aspect of teaching or learning through games. One person spoke I spoke about something that I consider is simple like minecraft, that they have no clue how to go about it. They say there not sure if they are just too old for it or if it’s just the literacy aspect as if they just can’t learn this there’s a lot of assumption based so I think if we go about it in the sense that we are all learning through video games or some very gamified version that some kids maybe my excel or do well but I think there’s gonna be more kids who are gonna fall through. I think it’s worth considering and in in a way gamification but I think that having it as a way of being is not but we should be doing.
